Profit Margins, Certifications

It’s been such a busy time. I decided, when I wasn’t busy, to apply for certification for 100% Vegan and also Palm oil free, (I have cruelty free certification currently). It’s very thorough the Vegan Cert. I was even asked for the ingredients for a salt lamp! I thought I had researched extensively and was a shoe in. Some of the ingredients queried had me dumbfounded. Apple Cider vinegar. Activated charcoal. Castile soap, (which only contains organic local olive oil), and others that you wouldn’t even doubt…Just those few are dragging it on and on. It’s good that In the end I at least, will know what 100%Vegan Certification means.

I think What’s inside is what counts, but that’s coming from a manufacturers perspective. Just my luck to be so creative and have hundreds of ingredients. (Wishing I’d done a cull, of lesser products I rarely make.) I’ll have to do this sometime because Palm oil free certificationcosts ALLOT and it’s for EACH product.

Being not for profit, doesn’t do me justice in these matters. Lol.

Palm oil free is a GO!!! Now just to decide which products will proudly display the symbol cos I can only afford a few 🙂 Which brings me to ponder this..What are your thoughts on paying 70% more for a same quality product for

1. The packaging

2. Registration fees for assurances like these

3. Normal profit margin?

If my product costs $15 to make and I sell it for $18.50, (because I’m doing it to help others), and someone else sells it for $48.50, (well, cos they do it for the money- it’s a business). Is that something that’s important to you?

Often consider this too; Is that plastic bag and pretty, professional looking box satisfying enough to warrant your hard earned money? Are you happy to pay more for products because they have Certificates?

Miraculous Magnesium

I just can’t get enough of the miraculous Magnesium!
I researched a fair bit this week and some things interested me enough to share them. Especially magnesium cream!
Did you know,
“Magnesium is also used for treating attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), Lyme disease, fibromyalgia, cystic fibrosis, alcoholism, mania, recovery after surgery, leg cramps at night and during pregnancy, diabetes, kidney stones, migraine headaches, a long-term pain condition called complex regional pain syndrome, weak bones (osteoporosis), premenstrual syndrome (PMS), altitude sickness, urinary incontinence, a condition that causes burning pain and redness called erythromelalgia, restless leg syndrome, asthma, hayfever, multiple sclerosis, and for preventing hearing loss and cancer.”

Like Wow! and thats not all!

“Chronic Colitis is improved due to the ‘laxative properties of Magnesium. However what I found was regularity for the first time in decades. Constipation was no longer a debilitating and painful condition. Just from rubbing some lotion on my arms everyday, apart from my skin being plump and glowing, my energy levels are changing. I’m sleeping better and legs arent twitching anymore. I RARELY get headaches now but 2 years ago it was so common I would go 5 days with a headache, morning and night. My mood is better too, now I think of it. I could ramble on for hours, but just know this…IT WORKS MIRACLES

Wherever I apply it becomes numb in minutes! Just what I need for my lower back pain. How did I ever live without it? Damn AMAZING!!!!”

P.A (Fibromyalgia, Chronic pain, neck and back injury)

How does it work?

Magnesium is required for the proper growth and maintenance of bones. Magnesium is also required for the proper function of nerves, muscles, and many other parts of the body. In the stomach, magnesium helps neutralize stomach acid and moves stools through the intestine.
